New Year’s Celebration

Start the New Year off on the right foot!

Please join us for this Yoga Yoga tradition and start the year off with 108 Sun Salutations, Sūrya namaskāra,or a Kundalini Meditation (or a little of both!) Starts at 1pm at Yoga Yoga Westgate.

1:00pm – 108 Sun Salutations, Sūrya namaskāra
(feel free to come and go as you please)
2:30pm – Long Ek Ong Kars and Gong Relaxation
3:30pm – Community Social and Potluck!

This is the 8th year that we have celebrated the New Year this way and it’s always a lot of fun! Bring a vegetarian treat or just bring yourself. This community event is free and all are welcome.

adho (downward) mukha (face) svana (dog) asana (pose)

Downward Facing Dog Pose is the simplest inversion.  Inversions are defined to be poses where the head is lower than the hips.
