Odometer 17k miles as seen in photos

This motorcycle was my daily ride from 1991-1992. I bought it from the 2nd owner with only about 1000 miles on it. Motorcycle licensed/registered in California. Recently running again (May 2016), needed a solid tune-up and new tires (see list below), could be good to go on the road again.

Even have the original toolkit.

Work done on the bike so far:

  • Verify registration and pink slip is at hand. Done.
  • Taken out of storage. Done.
  • Air in tires. Done.
  • Pressure wash and clean. Done
  • Chrome polish. Done
  • Verify all lights working and blink. Done
  • New oil filter. Done.
  • New oil. Done.
  • Get 3 new keys for ignition. Done.
  • Gas tank flush with acetone. Done
  • Gas tank flush with muratic acid. Done
  • Carborator clean/flush. Done.
  • Carborator gaskets. TBD
  • Verify all cyliders running. Done.
  • New Battery. Done
  • Engine turnover. She lives!

Work that needs to be done by new rider!

  • Carburetor clean/rebuild
  • Brake flush.
  • New front brake caliper - about $160
  • New brake master cylinder - about $45
  • New starter switch button / assembly. About $100
  • The tank definitely has some rust. Needs more cleaning.
  • Tires - Front and Rear.
  • New turn signal assembly - Front Left
  • New turn signal assembly - Rear Left
  • 2 new turn signal light bulbs. About $25.00 x 2.
  • New clutch handle. About $10
  • New vinyl or repair for seat and new foam. - $30 for seat cover or $80 for new seat vinyl
  • Cosmetic repair for paint on tank.
  • ...and more as to be determined..

General Motorcycle Model information:

The CB400F (aka  the 400/4 or 400 four super sport), was unveiled for 1975. 
The 400 four is equipped with a side stand and a center stand. 
It also has an electric start and a kick lever start.
The engine is peak power of 37bhp at 8,500rpm, with a redline at 10,000rpm, and with 6 gears.
